Lelouch Lamperouge, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
When there is evil in this world that justice cannot defeat, would you taint your hands with evil to defeat evil? Or would you remain steadfast and righteous even if it means surrendering to evil?

The justice you are talking about is not just. It is contaminated with peoples greed to possess things for self benefits. You must resolve the way of justice. With this kind of justice evil can never be defeated. And correct justice you should remain steadfast and righteous, eventually you win. :)

I think what it means is that "evil" allows much more possibility. For example it might allow you to pick up a gun and shoot someone in the head. But "good/justice" might be against picking up a gun and doing that, which means if you ever meet that evil, you will be fighting with your bare hands against a gun. So to beat it, you might pick up a gun yourself and pull the trigger.

Exactly! what you describe above, that doesn't mean in any way that you are evil :) according to me there are times when you have to defend.

But then why is the other guy evil for picking up a gun? I'm sure he has his reasons too.
