That is true, what you grasp in the very concept of sin; which is to not believe, but the true aspect of sin is ignoring the true value of that reality. Deluding yourself to make your soul feel at ease tramples the feelings of those souls who have not received your feelings. You may not have sinned; but that very root of sin itself is your ignorance towards those who fail to believe. You serve yourself self deserving words to reaffirm what you believe in; yet you only see what you want and ignore the rest. Your despicable means of self tolerance only hinders those who truly believe. Do not deny that outcome nor deny those who reject. For that thing you so much 'believe' is only something you can consume for you own self repentance. Do not ignore reality, and do not ignore that very weakness in your heart.

Are you saying it's bad TO BELIEVE or to NOT BELIEVE? And no, that wasn't a hamlet joke (TO BE... OR NOT TO BE?). But now it could be. Personally, I don't think belief is necessary. You don't have to believe in people, but you do have to trust in them. Trust in them in the sense that if I'm driving a car, I trust the people driving the opposite direction not to run their car right in my face and kill the shit out of us both. Trust is needed because there's only so much you can do alone. But there's no need for belief.

I realize this might be completely off topic for you. But I just said what I thought fits the topic. If not, let me know.

I just hate how this show that had so much potential ruined itself. The thing is here that, they believe, but the ignore the aspect of reality. Deluding themselves to make them feel at ease and as if they are right. You're not always gonna win, and you won't always have everyone pull through. I hate people who serve themself self deserving words to reaffirm their belief. It is despicable, you don't necessarily need to believe, but that rejection of trust or belief is where the true sin lies in the person saying this quote.

But Natsu is saying that it's a sin not to believe. So he's not rejecting belief. Or am I misunderstanding you?

And yes, I agree with you. In reality things hardly ever workout perfectly. There's always losses. Sometimes the whole thing ends up being just a huge failure. But this is an anime. And in animes very often things work out just fine. Happy endings are common in popular movies and animes alike.
