One of the greatest flaw of our human psychology, is that we only understand the value of having something, if we have experienced the fact of not having it before. Which means that things that we cant fully appreciate things that we have not fought for, or suffered for not having it.
Imagine 500 years ago, how impossible would be to talk about: Flying,Communicating in any place of the world, being able to record your life, being able to create light, being able to "control" water, to have a bed, to be secure and safe from animals.
We have achieved so much, yet people don't even believe on themselves. Why ? because they have too easy lives, they never had to fight for anything dangerous, since they got caught by the easy going way of our current lives.
When you are in pain, when you are in urgency, there is no time for you to believe or not, you just go and make things happen. And that is what people lack today. I am not saying that we need to "inflict" pain on people, i am just saying that by having so much comfort, we lost the emotional edge of action.
I am just saying this because at least on my realm of experiences with people, it is so rare to find a "believer".
