Posts: 5 | I described the shamisen to my brother the other day, because I've been interested in learning how to play it. After I described it to him, he told me "so it's a guitar", and I told him "Well, it's called shamisen". And he kept telling me that it was a guitar, until I just agreed with him for the sake of stopping the argument.
Is it correct to call it a guitar? Do someone goes to the music store and ask for a"3 stringed guitar"? |

Posts: 21 | It has a different name for a reason. It looks way different in my opinion. So I´d call it a shamisen. |
