for movie i think 5 cm per second, because its happens on my life, lol
for anime i can't choose between ano hana, clannad and clannad after story.

Saddest anime series: Angel Beats, White Album, Hell Girl, In Search Of The Lost Future, Glasslip project, Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Absolute Zero, owari no seraph the labyrinth of grisaia and the eden of grisaia, Another, Aldnoah Zero, Dusk Maiden Of Amnesia and Future Dairy.

Saddest anime movie: Garden of Words, Grave of The Fireflies , The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Wolf Children, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, Into the Forest of the Fireflies Light and Arrietty.

Have you tried watching "5 centimeter per second" and "Your Name"?

ah by the way The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and The Place Promised in Our Early Days was quite good. ~Insert manly tears~.

Defintely 5 cm per second...it's one of those rare animes that's actually gotten my tears to roll out. Really hits deep when you've been in a dying, long-term relationship.

Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda is also a pretty bittersweet anime/movie that always sticks out to me.
